Sleeping Dog Farm beef is 100% grass-fed without growth hormones
or antibiotics.  Research has shown that grass-fed beef is:

* A natural source of omega 3 fats
* High in CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) and beta carotene
* Over 400% more vitamins A and E than grain-fed beef
* Virtually devoid of risk of Mad Cow Disease


Buying a whole beef means that you will take home roughly 400
pounds of meat.  A half will yield roughly 200 pounds, a quarter will
yield roughly 100 pounds.  Yields of grass-fed beef can vary widely,
but this is a general guideline.  The meat is cut to your specifications,
flash frozen and vacuum sealed in plastic.  Packaged in this way, the
beef will keep in the freezer as long as the integrity of the plastic
remains intact.  If you notice ice crystals forming in a package, or the
plastic tears, use these items first.

While it is always best to find someone you know to share a side or a
whole, we may be able to pair you with someone if you are interested
in a ¼ beef.  However, cutting will be by standard instructions and will not
allow for your personal preference.  A standard cut
quarter contains a variety of steaks, roasts, ground and stew beef.

animals can vary according to many factors including weather, condition of
pastures, and breeding.
