                                          2009 Turkey Order Form

Our turkeys arrive as day-old poults on the farm in July (though one of
my customers mentioned that baby turkeys should be called
goblets) and
are kept warm in a brooding house that we built especially for them!
When they grow their feathers, we move them onto pasture.  We
regularly move their pen (which is made from electric poultry netting)
onto fresh pasture.  They are also fed a grain mix that we buy from a
farmer in Greenwich,New York, who uses organic practices and grinds
the feed the day that we pick it up.  The turkeys have a lot of space to
graze and enjoy unlimited access to this fresh food and clean water.

Turkeys are available for pick-up on the farm the Sunday before
Thanksgiving.  Be sure to order early and include a few extra for the
freezer, as we sell out every year well in advance of Thanksgiving.  If you
are unsure of the size bird, you can send a deposit to reserve your order
now and get back to me closer to the holiday.  We will do our best to give
you a bird that is close to the size that you ordered, but please allow for
variations in size.

***You will notice on the order form that I have not indicated the price per
pound.  As feed and fuel costs are so unpredictable, I will need to wait
until late in the year to project our costs and set a price.
